2025 Junior Season: Made 16 appearances with 10 starts in his junior campaign, working his way into the weekend rotation and finishing with a 5.14 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 56.0 innings of work… Finished with a 6-2 record, holding opponents to a .237 batting average… Allowed 36 runs on 50 hits, striking out 34… Had eight multi-strikeout performances and held opponents scoreless in five outings… Named NEC Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete-game shutout against UMES, going 7.0 innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three.

Before Wagner: Transferred to Wagner from Phoenix College, where he spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons... Over two seasons with the Bears, Hayashi made 32 appearances with five stars, going 2-2 qith a 6.23 ERA in 43.1 innings... Prepped at Johtoh High School in Tokyo, Japan.
