Northeast Conference (NEC) Spring Academic Honor Roll (2019)

2020-21 (Junior): Played in five matches out of the No. 5 position... Earned a hard-fought victory over Monmouth's Sydney DeNardo, 6-4; 6-4 (3/28/21).

2019-20 (Sophomore): Finished the year with two wins in singles play and three wins in doubles play… finished the year 2-0 at No. 3 doubles… On September 23 against Monmouth, earned a win in No. 5 singles against Chinonye Gabriel (6-2, 6-2) and in No. 3 doubles with teammate Mia Groetsch over Sydney DeNardo and Emily Manzo (6-4)… Picked up a win on October 13 over Alisa Handrugan of St. Francis Brooklyn at No. 4 singles (6-2, 7-6).

2018-19 (Freshman): Garnered four singles victories in her first season on Grymes Hill...Captured the Hofstra University Pride Invitational "C" Consolation singles championship...Earned three doubles victories while posting a 2-0 record in NEC doubles contest.  

Before Wagner: Attended Seacrest Country Day School... As a member of the Stingrays, she led the team to a third-place finish in Districts her freshman season... Was named a two-time team captain (junior & senior seasons)... Earned the Coaches' Award in her junior season and was named MVP the following year... In the classroom, was a three-time Leadership Lane Award winner, a two-time Band Award recipient while also collecting the  Key Club, Marine Biology, Pre-Calculus and Literature awards... Daughter of Jennifer Lavarone and Edwad d'Alessandro... Her father was a member of the men's water polo team at fellow Northeast Conference (NEC) institution, St. Francis Brooklyn... Started playing tennis at six but really got involved in the sport in the eighth grade... When Hurricane Irma hit Naples, she was in charge of setting up a huge clothing/food drive for the people in her community that were displaced... The drive last a little over a month where she and her fellow classmates filled the common room in the high school with supplies for those that needed... Plans on majoring in nursing/biology at Wagner.
