Wagner College Athletics

A.J. Skinner, who was a mid-year transfer last season, made an immediate impact in the Seahawk lineup last season and is looking for even bigger and better things on the links as a senior in 2018-19.
 
2017-18: (Junior): Averaged 76.0 strokes in nine rounds while competing in the final four events of the season … In just his second tournament as a Seahawk, burst onto the scene with an impressive second-place finish at the 102-man Villanova Wildcat Invitational … Opened the event with a sizzling two-under par 69, the low round of the season by a Seahawk, and followed with even par 71 … T-35 at the Rhode Island Invitational and T-17, with teammate Ben Steenland, at the season-ending NEC Championship.

2015-16 (Freshman): Member of the Newberry College (SC) golf team ... Played nine rounds...Recorded a season-best 75 at the Mitchell College Invitational (9/9) ... Earned All Conference Honors at NECC Championship ... Earned NECC Rookie of the Week Honors (10/12)...Finished 13th at ECAC Championship (10/13).

Scholastic/Personal:  Played one year at the IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida...Also played in select Florida Mini Tour events ... Is the oldest of four children ...Would like to one day travel to Augusta, Georgia to play Augusta National...Fan of the New England Patriots as well as professional golfer Jordan Spieth.
