Biography

2017 (Freshman Season): Competed in five meets in her inaugural season at Wagner… Recorded two top-five finishes on the season with her best performance coming at the NJIT Highlander XC Challenge (10/7), placing third with a time of 19:03.7… Two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week honoree… Named to the NEC All-Rookie Team.

Before Wagner: Liell ran her best 2.5 mile time of 16:12.0 back on September 17 at the Villa Bears Invitational, surpassing her previous best of 16:56.6 that she posted at the October 4 NYC Mayor's Cup Cross Country Championships. In the 5,000m run, Liell ran a 19:40.7 to come in third place at the October 22 Staten Island Championships, which was her personal-best time in the event. At the Federation Championships, Liell finished among the top-50 runners out of 249 harriers... As a member of the New Dorp track and field squad, she recorded her personal-best this year during the indoor season in the 1500m when she clocked in with a time of 5:04.47 at the January 2 PSAL Day of Distance, taking top honors in the event... In the 3000m, she posted four top-five finishes, with her capturing the top spot at the PSAL Staten Island Championships with a time of 10:56.63. Her personal-best in the event is 10:47.52, which set a school-record which she completed at the Staten Island Championships back on January 15.  In the mile, she placed among the top-ten with a time of 5:35.11 at the January 29 Ocean Breeze HS Invitational... Two-time cross country and one-time track and field Staten Island Advance All-Star selection.
