Amanda Rey comes over to the fencing program after a stellar career on the Wagner women's lacrosse team.

Lacrosse career:

2017: First-Team All-NEC honors for the first time in her career. Team leader in groundballs (52), draw controls (43) and caused turnovers (30) with those 30 CT's ranking seventh on the Wagner all-time single-season list. On April 28 at Central, Rey collected a career-high eight draw controls and ranks fifth on the all-time Seahawk career list in DCs.

2016: Started all 19 games for the 2016 NEC Champions … Ranked second on the Seahawks with 36 draw controls and 16 caused turnovers, and has compiled 27 ground balls …. Season-high five draw controls vs. Delaware State … Had three or more draw controls …. Had season-high three groundballs on six different occasions.

2015: Saw action in all 19 games for the Green & White, starting in 17 contests … Named Second-Team All-Northeast Conference (NEC) … Second on the team in draw controls with 42 … Collected 22 ground balls while causing seven turnovers … Recorded two points on one goal and one assist … Posted seven draw controls in games vs. Lafayette (2/25) and LIU Brooklyn (4/17) … Scooped up at least three ground balls in three separate games.

2014: Saw action in seven games … Credited with five ground balls, highlighted by two against both Delaware State (3/29) and Central Connecticut State (4/06) … Registered five draw controls and three caused turnovers

Personal/Bio: In her senior year of 2013, led the Minutemen to the quarterfinals of the South Jersey Group IV playoffs, scoring five goals in the opening round … Named to the 2013 U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic Team… Earned Second-Team All-Conference honors in her junior year of 2012, while leading her squad to the South Jersey Group IV State Finals.
