2020-21 Indoor and Outdoor (Freshman):Â During the outdoor season, Szambel ran her personal best in the 800m at the Lehigh Happy Easter Races, finishing in 2:41.95 for a seventeenth place finish. At the NEC Outdoor Championships, Szambel participated in both the 1500m and the 5000m. Her time in the 1500m was 5:14.99 for a sixteenth place finish; Szambel's 5000m time was 19:57.04 for a twenty-sixth place finish.
