Before Wagner: Garcia is a resident of West Brighton. She won her section and broke her high school records in the 400m dash with a time of 58:53, and in the 200m dash with a time of 26.71. Her 400 time is top-10 all-time on Staten Island, as well as fourteenth in the state. Also earned first in the 600m run at the Island Championships and sixth in the 500m dash. Garcia was a part of Notre Dame Academy's Indoor 2020 Distance Medley Relay team that finished ranked 19th in the country. Two-time Outdoor MVP for Notre Dame Academy. 2020 Arielle Newman Scholarship Award winner. 

Garcia's father, Al, was her coach at Norte Dame Academy. Garcia also receives support from her mother, Youree, and three sisters Pariis, Brianne, and Ariella.
