INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The NCAA announced the 64-team field for the 2026 Division I Men's Tennis Tournament on Monday, April 27. Wagner will play no. 11 Texas A&M in the first round on Friday, May 1 at 2 p.m EDT (1 p.m. CDT) in the College Station Regional. The match will take place at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, TX.
The Seahawks are coming off a historic season, winning their first-ever NEC Championship on April 18 against Binghamton by a score of 4-2. With the win, Wagner had three players named to the NEC All-Tournament team; redshirt freshman
Lukas Escher, senior
Pablo Rodriguez Gonzalez, and sophomore
Eddie Schmidt, who earned tournament MVP honors.
Texas A&M earned the 11-seed, and will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies are coming off a 19-9 season, with a win in the SEC quarterfinal round match, before losing to eventual SEC champion and national no. 2 seed Texas.
The pairing match in the College Station Regional bracket will be between Penn and Stanford.
The first round matchup between the Seahawks and the Aggies will be streamed on 12thman.com.
The winner of Wagner and Texas A&M match will move onto the second round of the NCAA Regionals. That match is set for Saturday, May 2 at 4:00 p.m.
