This Week in Wagner Athletics; 10 Teams in Action as Spring Sports Continue Conference Play

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week. 

 

Baseball 

- Fresh off their first NEC series win of 2026, the Seahawks have a midweek game at Seton Hall on Tuesday, March 17. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

- Hosting Le Moyne for the third NEC weekend of the season, the Seahawks welcome Le Moyne to SIUH Community Park for a series beginning Friday, March 20 with a 3 p.m. first pitch. 

- Game two will be Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m., then the weekend wraps up on Sunday, March 22 with another 1 p.m. game. 

 

Men's Fencing

- Junior sabrist Flavio Vinci is set to compete at the NC Fencing Championships this weekend. The first three rounds of men's sabre start on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m., and the last two rounds will be on Sunday, March 22 at 9 a.m. 

- The Championships take place at the Joyce Center on the campus of Notre Dame.

 

Men's Lacrosse 

- Wagner hosts Detroit Mercy on Saturday, March 21 for an 11 a.m. start on Hameline Field.

- Saturday's game will be the Seahawks' second of the NEC slate.

 

Men's Tennis

- The Seahawks play host to the Norfolk State Spartans on Saturday, March 21 at the CSI Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

- Then on Sunday, March 22, Wagner travels to take on George Mason at the GMU Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 2 p.m.

 

Men's Track & Field

- In the second meet of the young outdoor season, Wagner heads to Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational on Friday, March 20. This is the second consecutive season the Seahawks compete in the meet, held at the Spiders' Robbins Stadium. 

 

Softball 

- The Seahawks host Siena for a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday, March 18, at the Wagner Softball Field. First pitch of game one is set for 2 p.m., followed by the second game at approximately 4 p.m.

- Wagner travels to Erie, PA and face off against Mercyhurst for their second NEC series of the season. The three-game set starts with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 21, with the games starting at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. It finishes with a 12 p.m. start on Sunday, March 22.

 

Women's Lacrosse  

- Wagner hosts New Haven on Saturday, March 21 for a 2:30 p.m. opening draw control on Hameline Field.

- Saturday's game will be the Seahawks' second of the NEC slate.

 

Women's Tennis

- The Seahawks play host to the Norfolk State Spartans on Saturday, March 21 at the CSI Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

Women's Track & Field

- A week after opening the outdoor season at Stony Brook's Snowflake Classic, the Seahawks head to Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational for their second meet of the season. 

- Held at the Spiders' Robbins Stadium, Wagner competes on Friday, March 20. 

 

Women's Water Polo  

- The Seahawks travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. this upcoming weekend.

- The Green & White are scheduled to face Siena on Saturday, March 21, at 3:00 p.m. at McCann Natatorium.

- Wagner will also take on Marist on Sunday, March 22, at 3:00 p.m. at McCann Natatorium.
