FORT WORTH, Texas — Wagner College football graduate student
Andre Hines Jr. is set to compete in the 12th Annual College Gridiron Showcase, scheduled for January 9–11 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The three-day, OTA-style event provides NFL Draft prospects the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NFL scouts through positional drills, scrimmage sessions, and meetings with professional football executives. The College Gridiron Showcase has served as a springboard for numerous athletes in past years, with top performers earning invitations to major postseason all-star games at the request of NFL scouts.
Hines Jr. finished fifth in the NEC in rushing during the 2025 season, totaling 809 yards and eight touchdowns. The Staten Island native surpassed the 100-yard mark four times, highlighted by a career-high 139-yard performance in a 20–14 victory over Stonehill. He was named Second Team All-NEC by Phil Steele Magazine.
Hines Jr. is one of five NEC players selected to participate in the 2026 showcase, joining CCSU quarterback
Brady Anderson, CCSU running back Elijah Howard, Mercyhurst running back Brian Trobel, and Robert Morris linebacker Patrick McDonnell.
