This Week in Wagner Athletics; 10 Teams in Action as Women’s Water Polo Gets Set to Begin 2026 Campaign

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week. 

 

Men's Basketball 

- Wagner heads to FDU for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off at the Bogota Savings Bank Arena on Monday, Jan, 19.

- The Seahawks then travel upstate to Syracuse to face-off against Le Moyne on Ted Grant Court on Friday, Jan. 25. Tip-off against the Dolphins is set for 7:00 p.m.

- The Green & White conclude four-straight road games with a 3:00 p.m. meeting against the LIU Sharks at the Steinberg Wellness Center on Sunday, Jan. 25. 

 

Men's Fencing

- The Seahawks return to Pennsylvania on Sunday, Jan. 25, as Wagner will take part in the Penn State Invitational. 

- The event takes place at the Mary B. White Building in State College, Pa.

 

Men's Swimming & Diving

- Wagner will host its first and only meet of the season, as they take on LIU for the second time this year on Friday, Jan. 23 at the Spiro Sports Center starting at 5 p.m. 

- The Seahawks will also celebrate their Senior Day after the meet has completed.

 

Men's Track & Field

- Wagner competes in the Dr. Sander Scorcher, beginning Friday, Jan. 23 at The Armory, for its first road meet of the 2025-2026 season. 

- The first of two road meets during the indoor portion of the Seahawks' schedule, the meet will wrap up on Saturday, Jan. 24.

 

Women's Bowling

- Wagner takes up hosting duties for its first outing in 2026 for the Seahawk Invite on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 9:00 a.m.

- Held at Rab's Country Lanes, this will be the lone home meet for the Seahawks for the 2025-2026 season.

 

Women's Basketball 

- Wagner hosts Le Moyne to complete its three-game homestand on Thursday, Jan. 22 for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off at the Spiro Sports Center.

- The Seahawks then travel over the Verrazzanno-Narrows Bridge to LIU on Saturday, Jan. 24 for a 2:00 p.m. start at the Steinberg Wellness Center.

 

Women's Fencing

- The Seahawks return to Pennsylvania on Sunday, Jan. 25, as they will take part in the Penn State Invitational. The event will take place at the Mary B. White Building in State College, PA.

 

Women's Swimming & Diving

Women's Water Polo

- Wagner will begin its 2026 season at the Bruno Classic on Saturday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, Jan. 25.

- On Saturday, the Green & White will face Harvard at 9 a.m. and Bucknell at 5:30 p.m. in Cambridge, MA.

- On Sunday, the Seahawks will compete against Salem at 10:15 a.m. in Providence, RI.
