Staten Island, NY – Wagner College Director of Athletics
Brendan Fahey has announced the appointment of
Gina Squicciarini as the new Director of Athletic Bands.
"Throughout the process, I was impressed with Gina's passion, enthusiasm and vision for the Marching and Pep Bands" said Fahey. "I am excited to have her join the Seahawk Family and I look forward to working with her this upcoming year."
A Staten Island native, Squicciarini brings an impressive blend of teaching experience and performance excellence to Wagner. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Music in K–12 Music Education from the Conservatory of Music at CUNY Brooklyn College. Throughout her career, she has worked with high school band and vocal ensembles, preparing students for performances at NYSSMA festivals and seasonal concerts, while also serving as the children's choir director at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church in Staten Island.
Squicciarini is well-versed in a wide range of musical disciplines, including woodwind and brass performance, vocal technique in multiple languages, and musical theater. She has graced the stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and continues to perform professionally as a cantor and flutist.

Most importantly, it is an honor to be granted the opportunity to work with the students of Wagner College, using my musical experience to ensure both student success as well as the continued success of the Marching Band Program. My goal is to build on the proud legacy and maintain a thriving future for the Wagner College Marching Band. I am eager to continue strengthening the band in the years ahead by recruiting the most talented future and current musicians Wagner College has to offer. Let us show Staten Island the professionalism and quality of the Wagner College Marching Band!"
In her new role, Squicciarini will oversee all aspects of the Wagner College Marching Band, including all performances at home football and basketball games, community events and recruitment. Her leadership will focus on student engagement, musical excellence, and fostering a strong campus identity through performance.
