Staten Island, NY – Wagner head football coach
Tom Masella has officially announced the addition of six new staff members, including four position coaches and two support staff roles, on Thursday.
"We're thrilled to welcome these additions to our coaching staff, including some familiar faces back to the program" Masella said. "Each one brings a unique perspective and experience from different levels of the game. We look forward to their contributions as we prepare for the 2025 season and beyond."
Terence Sino has been tabbed as the offensive coordinator after spending a season as the Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Union College. No stranger to Grymes Hill, Sino previously spent four seasons on the Seahawks' staff (2020-2023), where he coached the offensive line and tight ends while also serving as recruiting coordinator for two years. In his final season at Wagner, he was promoted to assistant head coach. Sino earned his Master of Business Administration from Wagner in 2022. Before his time at Wagner, Sino worked as an offensive assistant and recruiting coordinator at Long Island University for two seasons. As a player, he was a four-year offensive lineman at Colgate University, graduating in 2017.
BJ Buckle has been named the defensive line coach. Buckle returns to Grymes Hill after spending three seasons at West Virginia State University, where he served as the special teams and recruiting coordinator, as well as the defensive line coach. In his final season at WVSU, Buckle coached three players who earned All-Mountain East Second-Team honors. Prior to his time at WVSU, Buckle coached the defensive line at FDU-Florham for two seasons, helping lead the Devils to an ECAC James Lynah Bowl victory in 2021. Buckle was a defensive lineman for the Seahawks for four seasons, graduating in 2019.
Kevin Singer will take on the role of tight ends coach. Singer begins his coaching career after completing his playing career as an offensive lineman at Wagner. While at Wagner, Singer played a key role in helping running back Rickey Spruill earn All-NEC Second Team honors and surpass 2,000 career rushing yards. Singer previously spent five seasons with the UAlbany football team, earning 10 starts for the Great Danes in 2022 and making the CAA Honor Roll in 2021.
Domenic Isabell will serve as the defensive backs coach with the Seahawks. Isabell comes to Grymes Hill after spending the 2024 season at Union College, where he coached wide receivers. While at Union, wide receiver Robbie Tolbert earned All-Liberty League Second Team honors, and several of his receivers ranked among the conference leaders in receiving yards and touchdowns. Before his time at Union, Isabell was a student assistant coach at SUNY Cortland, where he worked with the quarterbacks and managed a team of over 20 student assistants. Isabell graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2024 with a degree in adolescence education and was a Dean's List student.
David Kaplan joins the Seahawks after two seasons as a defensive backs coach at St. Norbert College. Prior to his time at St. Norbert, Kaplan coached defensive backs and served as interim defensive coordinator at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts, where he reduced the defense's points per game allowed by 19 and oversaw the 25th-best pass defense in Division III. Kaplan also worked as a Defensive Quality Control Analyst at the University of North Dakota, helping the Fighting Hawks reach the FCS playoffs in 2022. He previously coached running backs at Grinnell College in Iowa. Kaplan graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in economics in 2021.
Ilan Flores arrives on Grymes Hill as the Seahawks' Equipment Manager. He previously held the same position at East Carolina University for two seasons. Flores earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from East Carolina in 2021.
