Men’s Track & Field Projected To Finish Second In NEC Preseason Coaches Poll

Bridgewater, NJ - The Wagner men's track & field team has been picked to finish second in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the conference announced Tuesday.

After finishing in second place behind Central Connecticut in the NEC Indoor Championship, the Seahawks sit in that same second-place slot as the conference looks to outdoor season.

CCSU was picked as the unanimous first-place team, with Wagner sitting in second behind the Blue Devils. Stonehill rounds out the top three.

Chicago State was picked third, with Saint Francis University landing fifth and FDU in sixth. LIU and Le Moyne finish out the poll in seventh and eighth, respectively.

The Seahawks opened their outdoor schedule last weekend at Richmond University's Fred Hardy Invitational, combining with the women's team to win five individual event titles. Next, Wagner hits the road in April as William and Mary hosts the Colonial Relays, a two-day meet beginning on Friday, April 4 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
