Men’s Water Polo earns road win over Gaels in New Rochelle

This Week in Wagner Athletics; Nine Teams in Action as Men’s Water Polo Gets Set for MAWPC Tournament

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week. 

 

Football 

- Wagner will close out its 2025 season on Saturday, November 22 at LIU. Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m. at Shark Stadium.

- Last time out, Wagner extended its win streak to four after defeating Stonehill, 20-14 on November 15. Freshman kicker Nicholas Romero was named the NEC Rookie of the Week, and senior Jordan Johnson and graduate student Andre Hines Jr. were named NEC Prime Performers.

 

Men's Basketball 

- The Seahawks will continue their road swing at Georgetown on Saturday, September 22. Tip-off is sent for 12:00 p.m. in Capital One Arena.

- Most recently, Nick Jones was named an NEC Prime Performer after averaging 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals.

 

Men's Fencing

- The Seahawks will head over to Brooklyn to participate in the LIU Invite on Sunday, November 23. First duels are set for 9 a.m. at the Steinberg Wellness Center.

 

Men's Swimming & Diving

- Wagner travels to Rhode Island and will take part in the Harold Anderson Invite. 

- The four-day event will start on Thursday, November 20, and will end on Sunday, November 23. The event is set to begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Tootell Aquatics Center.

 

Men's Water Polo

-The sixth-seeded Seahawks take part in the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championships on the campus of Fordham University this upcoming weekend.

- The first round game will take place on Friday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. against third-seeded Bucknell at Messmore Aquatics Center.

 

Women's Basketball

- The Seahawks host Patriot League member Lafayette on Thursday, November 20.

- Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center.

 

Women's Bowling

- After competing at the first of two NEC meets this season, Wagner heads to Monmouth's Garden State Classic, beginning Friday, November 21 and wrapping up Sunday, November 23. 

- The meet will be held at Bowlero Lanes in Howell, New Jersey. 

 

Women's Fencing 

- The Seahawks will head over to Brooklyn to participate in the LIU Invite on Sunday, November 23.
