Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
Field Hockey
- The Seahawks will host Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent LIU on Friday, September 27 at 3:00 pm. Two days later, Wagner will be back in action to host Columbia on Sunday, September 29 at noon.
- The Green & White are coming off a 2-0 week with a 5-0 win against NEC newcomer Mercyhurst in Erie, PA before taking down Hofstra by a score of 4-0 on Grymes Hill.
- Last week, sophomore Floortje Leunisse and freshman Saar van Dalen were named NEC Offensive Player of the Week and NEC Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Football
- Wagner will travel to FAU for the first of two games against FBS opposition on Saturday at 6:00 pm on ESPN+.
- Wagner continued its homecoming tradition on Saturday. At the conclusion of the game, graduate student Jake Cady received the James Robb Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the offensive MVP of the game, and graduate student Justin Reilly received the Nick Lia Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the defensive MVP of the game. Cady threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while Reilly recorded a team-high ten tackles. Reilly was also named an NEC Prime Performer

Men's Tennis
- Wagner will make the short trip to The Bronx to participate in the three-day Fordham Invitational Tournament from Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29.
- One of only three returners to the team, senior Jordan Hunte won three matches at the NEC Individual Tournament last weekend, leading to a second place finish in the G Singles Draw.
Men's Water Polo
- The Seahawks will host MAWPC rivals George Washington and Navy at Spiro Sports Center on Saturday, September 28th.
- The Green & White are coming off a 3-1 weekend at Bucknell with wins over Gannon, Mount Saint Mary's and Johns Hopkins.

Women's Golf
- Starting Saturday, the Seahawks will travel to Annapolis, MD to take part in the Navy Fall Invitational.
- Freshman Maria Calleja shined in her debut tournament for the team at the Hornets Invitational, helping the Green & White finish top-three over the final two days of competition.
Women's Soccer
- After opening conference play with a 2-0 victory over Stonehill, the Seahawks will host Delaware State on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
- Wagner will then take a short trip to New Jersey to take on FDU on Sunday at noon. The last time the Seahawks played the Knights, they won 3-0 in the first round of the 2023 NEC Tournament. It was the first of two wins en route to an NEC Championship game appearance.
Women's Tennis
- The Seahawks will hit the road and travel to Monmouth for a dual match on Saturday, September 28.
- Returners sophomore Dariana Vera and junior Jasmine Lin each placed third in their respective brackets at the NEC Individual Tournament last weekend.
Women's Triathlon
- The Seahawks will compete at the Robious Landing Triathlon on Sunday, September 29th in Midlothian, VA.
- Last time out on September 14th, the Green & White raced at the Duquesne Invitational and placed four runners in the top 50.
