Staten Island, NY – Wagner College Director of Tennis
Jeff Menaker has announced the addition of four student-athletes on the women's side and four student-athletes on the men's side.
On the women's side, Liepa Sataite, Victoria Madail, Claudia Lindsey, and Leah Ollivierre will join the Seahawks this fall.
"I am very pleased to welcome this freshman class to our Seahawk tennis family," Menaker commented. "Each one of these girls is exceptionally talented. They have distinguished themselves in the classroom and on the tennis court and I expect they will not miss a beat when they arrive in New York. This is the largest freshman class the women's team has welcomed in a generation. There's positive energy building in our women's program right now. Along with our incoming graduate transfers, I expect Leah, Victoria, Claudia and Liepa will find their time at Wagner very rewarding."
On the men's side, Damian Janiszewski, Eddie Leon Schmidt, Vibhu Challagundla, and Joshua Zhao have decided to continue their academic and athletic careers at Wagner.
"We are very happy to welcome Eddie, Damian, Vibhu and Joshua to the Seahawk tennis family," Menaker added. "Along with our transfers and graduate transfers, this will be the largesst roster turnover for Wagner men's tennis since before the pandemic. I'm looking forward to working with an almost entirely new team this fall and welcoming our newcomers."
