Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
Men's Lacrosse
- Wagner will continue MAAC play on Wednesday when they travel to Lexington, VA to take on VMI on Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
- The Seahawks will host their final home contest of the season on Saturday when they welcome Canisius to Hameline Field on Saturday.
- Prior to the game on Saturday, the Seahawks will honor their eight seniors.
- Last week, Wagner dropped a conference contest at Sacred Heart, 19-6.
Women's Lacrosse
- Wagner will travel to Teaneck, NJ to take on FDU on Wednesday at 2:00 pm before traveling to Syeacuse, NY to take on Le Moyne on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
- Last week, the Seahawks went 0-2 with losses to Columbia and Stonehill. Senior Kelsey Scheidel was named an NEC Prime Performer for a second consecutive week.
- With four games remaining, the Seahawks sit at 3-3 in NEC play.
Baseball
- Wagner will take on Iona in a midweek contest on Wednesday at 3:00 pm before traveling to Stonehill for a three-game series this weekend. First pitch times for the weekend series are 3:00 pm, 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, respectively.
- The Seahawks currently sit a game behind Sacred Heart for the top spot in the NEC standings after taking the best of three series against Norfolk State this past weekend in Trenton, NJ. Freshman Diego Tavarez walked off game one and junior Albert Serrano made the game-winning catch with bases loaded in the third game.
Softball
- Wagner will host CCSU this weekend with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. The Seahawks will then host the Blue Devils on Sunday at 3:00 pm.
- This past weekend, Wagner defeated Stonehill in two out of three games. Wagner earned a 4-3 victory over Stonehill on Saturday and an 11-7 victory on Sunday.
Women's Water Polo
- Wagner will wrap up its 2024 regular season as the Seahawks will face-off against VMI on Saturday, April 13 before taking on La Salle and Villanova on Sunday, April 14 at the Kirk Pool in Philadelphia, PA.
- Last weekend at Villanova, the Green & White picked up two more conference wins against #21 LIU and Iona at the Pavilion Pool on Sunday, April 7.
Track & Field
- Wagner will split its two teams as a portion of the program will head to Princeton, NJ for the Larry Ellis Invite from Saturday, April 13 to Monday, April 15.
- Other members of the program will travel to Lewisburg, PA for the Bucknell Invite from Saturday, April 13 to Monday, April 15.
- Last time out, the men's team placed sixth at the Colonial Relays, meanwhile the women's team earned a fourth place finish in Williamsburg, VA.
Women's Golf
- After wrapping up the FDU Knights Invitational on Monday, the Seahawks will take part in the Navy Spring Invitational from Saturday to Sunday.
Men's Golf
- On Saturday, the Green & White will take part in the Roar EE Invitational, hosted by Columbia. The one day event will precede the team's senior day celebration, which will take place on Thursday, April 18.
Men's Tennis
Wagner will travel to Bethlehem, PA to take on Lehigh Tuesday before competing in the NEC tournament beginning on Friday.
- Last week, the Seahawks fell to Navy on Saturday, 4-0.
Women's Tennis
- Wagner will compete in the NEC tournament beginning on Friday.
- Last week, the Seahawks defeated Monmouth on Saturday, April 6 with a score of 4-1.
