This Week In Wagner Athletics; Six Teams In Action As Women’s Water Polo Looks To Capture Eighth MAAC Title In The Last 11 Years

Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.

Women's Lacrosse
- Wagner will close the regular season on Wednesday night when they welcome Delaware State to Hameline Field at 6:00 pm.
- A win for the Seahawks puts them in the NEC Tournament, a loss and a win for Merrimack against Stonehill puts the Green & White out of the NEC Tournament.
- Last week, the Seahawks fell in overtime to Sacred Heart, 11-10 at Hameline Field on Saturday afternoon.

Baseball
- After sweeping Le Moyne this past weekend in Trenton, NJ, the Seahawks will first take on Princeton in a midweek non-conference bout on Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
- Wagner will then hit the road for a three-game series at UMES, which starts on Friday at 3:00 pm. First pitch on Saturday and Sunday will be at 1:00 pm.
- The Seahawks are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the NEC standings with Sacred Heart and LIU.

Softball
- Wagner will travel to Brooklyn, NY to take on LIU in a doubleheader Tuesday, April 23 before a single game Wednesday, April 24. 
- On Saturday, April 27 Wagner will host SFU in a doubleheader before a single game on Sunday, April 28. 
- Last time out, the Seahawks picked up one win in a three game series against Le Moyne with a score of 4-3. 

Women's Water Polo
- Wagner will travel to Poughkeepsie to take part in the MAAC Tournament. The Seahawks are seeking their eighth title in the last 11 seasons. 
- The Seahawks completed this season as undefeated conference champions, with an overall record of 27-4.

Track & Field
- The Seahawks will head to Philadelphia, PA for the Penn Relays from Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27. 
- Last time out, Wagner took home 11 first place finishes at the Rider Invite, including five on the women's side and six on the men's.
- Senior Ryan Lane improved his long jump school record by .09m, with a mark of 7.48m.

Men's Golf
- The Seahawks will conclude their season in Pine Mountain, GA, for the NEC Championship from Friday to Sunday.
