West Windsor, NJ - The ninth ranked Wagner College men's tennis team fell to the eighth ranked Stonehill Skyhawks with a score of 3-4 in the opening round of the Northeast Conference Tennis (NEC) Tournament.
In doubles, the Seahawks led #3 doubles and lost the #1 and #2 matches. The #3 match was accordingly stopped as a dead rubber.
In singles, senior Rodrigo Perez defeated Mateo Mallen of the Skyhawks by a score of 6-3, 6-0. The Seahawks led 3-2 with two matches left to play as junior, Jordan Hunte secured another victory for the Green & White by a score of 6-0, 6-3.

Aryan Gupta evened the match after doubles, leading 4-2 in his first set when his opponent retired due to injury.
The Skyhawks would go on to pick up three wins in singles play, prevailing over the Seahawks with a final score of Wagner 3, Stonehill 4.
This concludes the 2024 season for the Seahawks as they look to begin action again next fall.
