This Week in Wagner Athletics; Eight Teams In Action As Women’s Basketball Hosts Senior Day On Saturday

Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for the week.

Men's Basketball
- The Seahawks will travel to Le Moyne on Thursday before hosting FDU for the regular season finale on Saturday. 
- Wagner is coming off a home victory over LIU on CBSSN on Sunday.
- Junior Melvin Council Jr. was once again named an NEC Prime Performer

Women's Basketball
- The Seahawks will welcome Le Moyne to the Spiro Sports Center on Thursday, February 29. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm on ESPN+.
The Green & White will then welcome FDU on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 pm. Prior to the game, the Seahawks will honor five seniors.
- Freshman Kiera Edmonds earned her second NEC Rookie of the Week of the season, last week, the Brooklyn, NY tallied two double-doubles.

Men's Lacrosse
- The Seahawks will travel to West Long Branch, NJ to take on Monmouth on Tuesday, February 27 at 2:30pm. 
- Wagner will host NJIT on Saturday, March 2 at 12:00 pm, tickets are available here.
- Last week, the Seahawks fell at Fairfield, 14-9. Junior James Rea tallied five goals for the Seahawks,

Baseball
- Wagner will head to South Orange, NJ for its first mid-week contest of the season at Seton Hall. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
- The Seahawks will then travel to Johnson City, TN to take on ETSU over the weekend. Friday's game is scheduled for 3:00 pm, Saturday's is set for 2:00 pm, and Sunday's finale is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
- This past weekend, the Green & White dropped all three contests to #8 Texas A&M.

Softball
- The Seahawks will head to Moraga, California to take on Saint Mary's College on Friday, March 1 and Saturday March 2 before heading to Davis, California to take on Santa Clara University and University of California Davis on Sunday, March 3. 
- Last time out, Wagner dropped a doubleheader in Hampton, VA against Hampton and Coppin State on Saturday, February 17. 
- Sophomore Payton Janicki earned her first NEC Prime Performer honors announced by the conference last week. Janicki leads the team with a .500 slugging percentage and four RBI's.

Men's Tennis 
- Wagner will host FDU on Friday, March 1 at the College of Staten Island (CSI) indoor tennis courts. 
- Last time out, the Seahawks fell to Norfolk State on Saturday, February 24 with a score of 1-6. Senior Rodrigo Perez and sophomore Sebatian Dobson earned the first victory on Saturday with a score of 6-3 before junior Naseem Rahman and sophomore Kunsh Moolchandani defeated Norfolk State's Vladisav Gorbatenko and Deniz Okyay with a score of 7-5. 

Women's Tennis
- Wagner will host FDU on Friday, March 1 at the College of Staten Island (CSI) indoor tennis courts. 
- Last time out, the Seahawks fell to NJIT on Sunday, February 25 with a score of 0-5.

Bowling
- Wagner will conclude its regular season at the Adelphi Invitational in Queens, NY from Saturday, March 2nd to Sunday, March 3rd.
- Last time out, the Seahawks went 1-7 at the third NEC Meet of the 2023-24 campaign, defeating LIU in their fourth match of the weekend, by a score of 893-786.
