Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.

Field Hockey
- Wagner secured its first outright Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season title after defeating Rider, 2-1, on Friday night.
- As the first top seed in the conference, the Seahawks will take on fourth-seeded LIU in the semifinal round Thursday, November 9 at 11:00 am at the Wagner College Field Hockey Complex.
- The winner of the Wagner-LIU matchup will contend for the NEC Tournament crown against the winner of second-seeded Rider and third-seeded Fairfield. Opening pass-back for the NEC Tournament title match is set for Friday, November 9 at noon.

Men's Basketball
- The Seahawks will open the season on Wednesday at #25 Rutgers. For a full preview, click here.
- Last season, Wagner won the NEC title for the second time in program history and defeated Howard in the First Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament for the first NCAA Tournament win in program history.
- Wagner will take on Manor College in the Seahawks' home-opener on Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Spiro Sports Center.
Men's Swimming & Diving
- The men's team defeated Southern Connecticut State 149.00-82.00.
- Wagner will return to action November 9th at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY.

Men's Water Polo
- The men's water polo team will host No.2 Fordham University at 5 PM and Mercyhurst at 8 PM at the Spiro Sports Center in Staten Island, NY on Friday November 8.
- On Sunday November 10, the Seahawks will host Senior Day against Bucknell University at 10 AM and Mount Saint Mary's at 2:00 PM at the Spiro Sports Center in Staten Island, NY.
- Last week Wagner computed in three contest picking up a 15-9 win over Johns Hopkins

Women's Basketball
- The Seahawks will open their 2024-25 regular season against the Saint Elizabeth Eagles on Monday, November 4 at 7:00 pm at the Spiro Sports Center.Â
- Three days later, Wagner will travel to South Orange, NJ for a matchup with the Seton Hall Pirates. Tip-off for that contest is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
- Last time the Seahawks and Pirates competed was back on December 12, 2021 with Seton Hall defeating Wagner, 70-62.

Women's Bowling
- Participating in their third meet of the young season, the Seahawks will travel to East Haven, CT on Sunday, November 10 to participate in the Bowl for the Cure Invitational Tournament.
- Last time out, Wagner placed second overall at the Dezy Strong Baker Tournament with four wins. They knocked down 993 pins in their win against Adelpi, the high score of the entire tournament.
- Last year, Angelia Lubrano won the individual prize at the Bowl for the Cure Tournament with an average pinfall of 185 per game.

Women's Soccer
- The No.2 Wagner will host No.3 FDU on Thursday November 7 at 7:00 PM at Hameline Field. This marks the first time in program history the Seahawks will host an NEC Tournament Semifinal game.Â
- The winner of this contest will play the winner of No.1 Howard and No. 4 Stonehill at the highest remaining seeded teams field for the NEC Championship.
-Freshman Alana Arjona was named the NEC Rookie of the Week. Arjona scored the game winning goal in a 1-0 victory over LIU on Thursday. Senior goalkeeper Sam Hughes was also named a Prime Performer by the NEC.

Women's Swimming & Diving
- Wagner women's swimming and diving team earned victories over Southern Connect and Central Connecticut State University on Friday.
- The Seahawks defeated Northeast Conference (NEC) foe CCSU 126.00-95.00, while earning a 149-64.00 victory over Southern Connecticut State.
- This marks the first dual meet victory over the Blue Devils since 2019.
- Wagner will return to action November 9th at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY.

Women's TriathlonÂ
- The Wagner triathlon team will travel down to Clermont, FL for NCAA Nationals on Saturday November 9.Â
- Last time out at the NCAA East Qualifier the first finisher for Wagner was sophomore Olivia Roldan-Casado in 67th place with a time of 1:10:10.Â
