Jake Cady, the Wagner College football team earned a convincing 28-7 road victory at Stonehill on Saturday afternoon.
With the victory, Wagner evens its record in Northeast Conference (NEC) play at 1-1, while the Skyhawks fall to 0-1 in league action.
The Seahawks dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and took the lead on a 77-yard connection between Cady and sophomore

Christian Davis came up with an interception on the final drive of the first quarter, the Seahawks turned the turnover into points, as Cady found senior
Rickey Spruill for a 24-yard touchdown just two minutes into the second period.
Following another defensive stop, Wagner extended its lead to 21-0 as Cady found graduate student
Christian Tait for a 19-yard touchdown. The score marked Tait's first touchdown in a Wagner uniform.
The Skyhawks got on the board with three minutes left in the first half.
Neither team scored throughout the third quarter, setting up the deciding sequence of the contest in the fourth. With the Skyhawks going for it on fourth down, senior

Jalin Justice combined for a sack to give the offense the ball in Stonehill territory. Two plays later, Spruill took the ball 48 yards for a score to put the game away at 28-7.
Spruill led Wagner's ground game with 103 yards , while graduate student
Andre Hines Jr. gained 71 yards in his Seahawk debut.
Defensively, Wagner combined for 10 tackles for loss, with graduate student
Justin Reilly once again leading the charge with 12 total stops, including a sack.
Wagner returns home to Hameline Field on Saturday, October 12, as the Seahawks host Columbia at noon.
