Philadelphia, PA - On Thursday, October 17, the Wagner College men's tennis team sent four athletes to Hecht Tennis Center at the University of Pennsylvania for the ITA Regional Tournament.

Singles

Paul Inchauspe def Carlos Rodriguez Gonzalez (WAG) 6-4, 7-5
Junghee You def Antoine Nivault (WAG) 6-0, 3-6, 6-2

Doubles
Sam Bossem and Charl Morgan def Eddie Schmidt and Pablo Rodriguez Gonzales (WAG) 8-6

Graduate student Carlos Rodriguez Gonzalez won his first round matchup after dropping the first set against Alfrendo Vogelaar of Duquesne. 

In his next matchup against Paul Inchauspe, Rodriguez Gonzalez dropped both sets, but won at least four games in each. Inchauspe would go on to participate in the quarterfinals in the singles main draw.

Graduate student Antoine Nivault also represented the Seahawks in the singles draw. He dropped each of his matches, but forced a third set against Junghee You of Columbia.

Brothers Carlos and Pablo Rodriguez Gonzalez joined forces to win six games in their lone match against Sam Bossem and Charl Morgan of Penn State.

The Green and White will conclude their fall season next weekend in a dual match at NEC-foe Stonehill.
