Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
 
Field Hockey
- The Seahawks will host their 'Pink Game' on Friday, October 18 at 1:00 pm as Wagner welcomes Stonehill for a Northeast Conference (NEC) matchup.
- Two days later, the Green & White will celebrate the careers of six student-athletes on Senior Day as Wagner hosts conference foe Saint Francis U for a noon opening pass-back.
- Most recently, the Seahawks defeated the Pioneers of Sacred Heart in overtime as freshman Romy Matthies found the back of the cage for the first time in her collegiate career.
 
Football
- Wagner will resume NEC action against Saint Francis U on Saturday at noon at Hameline Field.
- Senior punter Bailey Marzola earned NEC Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Columbia.
- Sophomore Jaylen Bonelli earned NEC Prime Performer honors.
- Wagner enters the week with a 1-1 record in NEC action.

Men's Cross Country
- The Seahawks will begin postseason action with the ECAC Cross Country Championships this Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
- Last time out, the Green & White placed ninth at the Paul Short Run out of 38 competing teams.
 
Men's Golf
- The Seahawks are scheduled to continue play at the three-day Bucknell Invitational Tournament in Lewisburg, PA which began on Sunday.
- After the conclusion of round one, graduate student Thomas Choi shot a season low 67 (-3) to put himself in second place individually. The Seahawks are currently ranked 10th at +8 collectively with Colgate leading the pack at +1.
 
Men's Swimming & Diving
- Wagner prepares to defend its NEC title crown with the start of the 2024-25 season.
- The Green & White will head to New Rochelle to compete in the Hynes Center Pool, as Iona welcomes Wagner and LIU to its campus on Saturday, October 19. 
- The diving portion of the meet starts at 9:00 am, while the swim portion begins at 11:30 am.
 
Men's Tennis
- The Seahawks will travel to Philadelphia, PA to participate in the ITA Regional Tournament. Winners will qualify for ITA Sectionals at the commencement of the fall season.
- In their last match against Holy Cross, the men's team scored their first victory of the season, winning the overall match by a score of 5-2.
- Wagner swept the doubles bracket, as the Green and White are yet to surrender a doubles point this season.
 
Men's Water Polo
- The Seahawks will head to Providence, RI and Cambridge, MA for the Harvard Invite this weekend.
- On day one, the Green & White will face off against UC Merced and Mercyhurst and will play Chapman and Harvard on day two.
 
Women's Bowling
- On Saturday, the Seahawks will begin their season at the two-day Golden Bear Invitational Tournament in Kutztown, PA.
- This will be Wagner's first time competing in the Golden Bear Invitational, with Mount St. Mary's taking the crown last season. 
 
Women's Cross Country
- The Seahawks will begin postseason action with the ECAC Cross Country Championships this Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
- Last time out, the Green & White placed three runners in the top 40 at the Paul Short Run.
 
Women's Golf
- On Wednesday, the Seahawks travel to Colts Neck, NJ to take on the Monmouth Fighting Scots in a one-day dual match at Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck.
- Two days later, the Green and White will participate in another one-day event, the Wagner Fall Classic. hosted at their home course on Staten Island: La Tourette Golf Course.
- Recently, Aisha Rodriguez led the field with her season low (+7) in the Seahawks' last outing, as Wagner defeated Hofstra at the Seawane Club in Hewlett, NY.
 
Women's Soccer
-The Seahawks will host Howard this Thursday at Hameline Field at 7:00 pm. 
-The Green & White will also hit the road to Loretto, PA for a matchup against Saint Francis on Sunday at 3:00 pm.
- Last week the Seahawks picked up two NEC wins over CCSU, 4-1, and a shutout against Mercyhurst 2-0.
- Freshman Dierdre Meberg was tabbed the NEC's Co-Player and Rookie of the Week while senior Sam Hughes was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Women's Swimming & Diving
- Wagner will embark on its 2024-25 season as the Seahawks travel to New Rochelle for a meet with the Gaels, Sacred Heart Pioneers, and the LIU Sharks.
- The meet is set for Saturday, October 18 at Hynes Center Pool on the campus of Iona.
- The diving portion of the meet starts at 9:00 am, while the swim portion begins at 11:30 am.
