This Week In Wagner Athletics; Two Teams In Action As Women’s Basketball Hosts First NEC Home Game

Staten Island, NY -  Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for the week.

Women's Basketball
- The Seahawks will welcome LIU to open the home portion of their Northeast Conference (NEC) schedule.
- In its conference opener, Wagner fell 64-54 at Saint Francis U on Saturday, January 6.
- Graduate student Taleah Washington led the way offensively for the Green & White with 15 points and eight rebounds. Washington shot 5-11 from the floor and 3-4 from three-point range.

Track & Field
Wagner will compete in the Penn 10 meet on Saturday, January 13 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
- Last time out, the Seahawks earned five first place finishes at the Wagner College Invitational. 
-  For the women's team, junior Ruth-Ann Chambers placed first in the 400m dash.
- On the men's side, senior Jason Marchese finished first in the 200m dash, senior Ryan Lane earned first in the long jump, sophomore Christopher Milillo placed first in the weight throw, and freshman Jack Mason finished the triple jump in first place overall.
