Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.

Football
- The Seahawks will open the 2023 season at Fordham this Saturday, September 2, at 6:00 pm. 
- The game will air live on ESPN+.

Field Hockey
- The Seahawks will play its second game of the season on Friday, September 1 in Hempstead, NY at Hofstra.
- Last season, the Seahawks opened the season with a shootout victory over Hofstra.
- Wagner dropped its season opener to Lafayette on Friday, August 25.

Women's Soccer
- A home and away week for the women's soccer team begins on Thursday, August 31 at Iona at 4:00 pm. 
- The Seahawks will then return to Hameline Field to host Binghamton on Sunday, September 3 at 1:00 pm.
- Last week the Green & White won the home opener against Army on Thursday, August 24, 1-0, before falling to Manhattan on Sunday, August 27 by a score of 2-1.
- Kayla Barbosa and Madison Carr supplied goals over the past week.

Men's Water Polo
- The Seahawks will begin its 2023 season at the Bruno Classic in Cambridge, MA from Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3.
- Wagner will play MIT and Harvard on Saturday before taking on McKendree and Pepperdine on Sunday.
- At last year's Bruno Classic, the Green & White opened up the tournament with a 19-7 victory over MIT .
- The Seahawks come into this season after boasting the most conference wins in program history last season with ten.

Cross Country
- Both men's and women's cross country teams will kick off their 2023 campaign on Saturday, September 2 at the Stony Brook Invite.
- The men's team is looking to repeat as conference champions as they scored 37 total points to capture their third title in four seasons.
-The women's team comes into this season after finishing with their best score in over a decade with a total score of 123 at the NEC Championships.
