This Week In Wagner Athletics; Seven Teams In Action As Basketball Begins

Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for the week.

Football
- The Seahawks will conclude Northeast Conference (NEC) play this Saturday at LIU. 
- Wagner is 3-3 in NEC play and can secure a winning season in conference action with a win.

Men's Basketball
- Wagner will open its season on Monday, November 6, when the Seahawks travel to Fordham.
The Green and White will take on Molloy in the home opener at the Spiro Sports Center on Thursday night at 7:00 pm.

Women's Basketball
- Wagner will open its season on Monday, November 6 when they welcome CCNY to the Spiro Sports Center at 7:00 pm. 
- The Seahawks will then travel to Piscataway, NJ to take on Rutgers on Thursday, November 9 at 7:00 pm before traveling to Hempstead, NY to take on Hofstra on Sunday, November 12 at 2:00 pm.

Swimming & Diving
- The Seahawks will take part in their third tri-meet of the season versus hosts LIU and Le Moyne on Saturday, November 11.
- In this past weekend's tri-meet versus CCSU and Southern Connecticut State, the Green & White picked up 16 individual victories and swept the four relay events.

Fencing
- On Sunday, November 12 the Seahawks will partake in their second dual meet of the season when they travel to Poughkeepsie, NY for the Vassar Invitational.
- In last Sunday's Drew Invitational, both the men's and women's teams picked up several victories against the likes of Yeshiva and Cleveland State, among others. Overall the women went 5-1, while the men went 4-2 in their first dual meet in the program's history.

Triathlon
- On Saturday, November 11 the Wagner women's triathlon team will travel to Tempe, AZ to compete in the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championship. 
- In their last appearance at Eastern Regionals, the Seahawks placed seventh, scoring 290 points. Freshman Olivia Roldan-Casado led the Wagner pack with 68 points. Roldan-Casado placed 58th out of 118 with a chip time of 1:06:21. 

Bowling
- Wagner will compete at the first NEC Meet of the season between Saturday, November 11 to Sunday, November 12
- Last time out, the Seahawks placed third at the 'Seahawk Invite', where senior Totiana Miranda finished first with an average pinfall of 190.6 across five traditional matches.
