Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College men's tennis team earned its first win defeating Baruch College this Sunday October, 8th at home.
The Seahawks swept Baruch in the dual match with a score of 7-0.
In doubles, freshman David Krasner and senior Rodrigo Perez defeated Juan Mendoza and Nicholas Santiago, 6-4 while junior
Jordan Hunte and sophomore
Kunsh Moolchandani defeated Tuna Nergizoglu and Jordan Hernandez, 6-3. The senior duo
Aryan Gupta and
Lucas Darling defeated Liam Cooper and Reda Ljazouli, 6-0.
In singles, Krasner defeated Juan Mendoza in three sets, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 while sophomore Sebatian Dobson defeated Liam Cooper, 6-0, 6-3. Freshman Naseem Rahman defeated Steven Margolis with a score of 6-1, 6-2. Perez, Hunte and Moolchandani also secured wins in their singles matchups.
Next up, the Seahawks will head to Flushing, NY to take on Holy Cross in a dual match at the USTA National Tennis Center on Saturday, October 14.
