Somerset, NJ - After a successful weekend at the Wagner College Invitational last Friday, Graduate student Corey Durden, junior Michael Hubert and freshman Julio Martinez earned Northeast Conference (NEC) weekly honors, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Michael Hubert received his first Track Athlete of the Week honors of the indoor season, the Middle Village, NY native placed second in the 800m run with a time of 1:54.21 trailing the first place runner by .56.

Julio Martinez collects the second NEC Rookie of the Week title for the Seahawks. Martinez tied for third place in the pole vault with a height of 4.55m just .7m short of first place.

Corey Durden had another successful meet earning NEC Prime Performer. Durden placed second in the weight throw reaching 17.72m. The veteran also placed third in the shot put reaching 15.11m just .60m shy of first place. 

Next up, the Seahawks will compete in the Penn 10-Select Meet on January 14, at the Ocean Breeze Athletics Complex.
