Lowell, MA – The Wagner field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision to UMass Lowell on Monday afternoon.
The loss gives Wagner its first loss of the 2022 season.

Daisy Ruhle tallied two more saves in the second quarter, keeping the game scoreless heading into the second half.
The River Hawks got on the board 35 seconds into the second half before
Julia Cruces Pastorino tied the game 11:23 into the second half on a dazzling solo effort.
Daisy Ruhle added two more saves in the third quarter to keep the game knotted at one heading to the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Seahawks earned two early corner opportunities to go along with three shots but were unable to convert. With 3:25 remaining in the fourth quarter, the River Hawks tallied the eventual game-winning goal to make the contest 2-1, UMass Lowell would go on to win by the same score.
Julia Cruces Pastorino tallied her first goal of the 2022 season, the all-time leading scorer in program history now has 16.
Daisy Ruhle finished with eight saves in the contest.
The Seahawks will return home to take on Cornell on Friday, September 9 at 3:00 P.M. from the Wagner College Field Hockey Complex.
