Women's Soccer Announces 2022 Season Schedule

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2022 season which features 17 regular season matches along with two exhibition contests. 
 
Under sixth-year head coach Phil Casella, the Seahawks will play eight non-conference matches and nine Northeast Conference (NEC) contests. 
 
 
The regular season commences on Thursday, August 18 as the Seahawks welcome Rider to Hameline Field before hosting Fordham on August 21. Two of the final three matches in August will be on the road as the Green & White travels to UMBC on August 25 and Manhattan on August 27. Wagner closes out the month with a home tilt against NJIT on August 31. 
 
The Green & White hosts Iona on September 4 before embarking on a three-match road trip against Army West Point (September 8), Albany (September 11) and opening up conference play in Loretto, PA against Saint Francis U on September 15. 
 
Wagner returns to the friendly confines of Hameline on September 22 as they take on defending league champions, Central Connecticut before a short trip to Teaneck, NJ to tangle with FDU closes out the month of September (September 29). 
 
The Green & White opens the final month of the season back on Grymes Hill as local conference rival, St. Francis Brooklyn, pays a visit to Staten Island on October 2. The Seahawks will then head to Long Island on October 9 to take on LIU. 
 
October 13 marks the first-ever meeting between Wagner and new conference members, Stonehill. The Skyhawks embarks on their first season of competition in the league and will be a full member of the conference in 2026-27 upon completion of its four-year NCAA Division I reclassification period. 
 
Wagner hits the road for a pair of league tilts, beginning on October 16 at Merrimack before closing out the road trip at Sacred Heart on October 20. 
 
The regular season finale is scheduled for October 27 as the Seahawks will play host to Howard on Senior Night.
