Women's Tennis Edged By Saint Francis U, 4-3, On Senior Day

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought Northeast Conference (NEC) match to Saint Francis U, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. 

Prior to the match, the Seahawks honored their 2022 Senior Class - Alegra D'Alessandro, Fidan Khalilzade, and Samantha Lugtu. 

The pairing of Tara Dakic and Gabrielle Perraudin won at No. 1 doubles, 6-2, before the Red Flash took the next two matches for the first point in the overall match. 

Perraudin continued the momentum, earning a 4-6; 6-4; 6-3 win at No. 1 over Dominique Yeo.

Saint Francis U would take the next three matches for the win. 

D'Alessandro racked up a three-set victory over Marie Discini at No. 5 singles (6-4; 3-6; 11-9) while Paula Ysabelle UY was also victorious in three-sets at No. 6 (2-6; 6-4; 10-4). 

The Seahawks close out the 2022 regular season on Tuesday, April 5, as they welcome Seton Hall.
