Fairfield, CT – The Wagner women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat at Sacred Heart on Thursday evening.
 
In the penultimate game of the season, the Seahawks were led by fifth-year senior Luisa Barone and senior Juliana Rafaniello, who recorded two shots on goal apiece.
 
Junior Rebecca Wood and sophomore Emma Roe also logged shots for the Green and White, while sophomore Sam Hughes stopped 10 shots on goal on the night.
 
The Pioneers scored in the first half on a goal by Anna Ludkiewicz and preserved the lead from there to earn the victory.
 
Wagner will close out the season next Thursday, October 27 against Howard.
 
Kickoff at Hameline Field is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
