Staten Island, NY – The back-to-back Northeast Conference (NEC) champion Wagner women's lacrosse team added assistant coach
Miranda Stinson during the fall semester in preparation for the upcoming spring season.

Michelle Tumolo. "I had the privilege of coaching against Miranda during my time at Oregon, as she was a standout player at Colorado. She has competed at the highest level and is a talented and versatile lacrosse player. Given that she has played on both sides of the field, I am really excited for myself and our players to learn from her."
One of the best players in Colorado history, Stinson led her team with 64 goals and 16 assists for 80 points as a senior in 2019, earning her Pac-12 Attacker of the Year and First Team All-Pac-12, IWLCA All-West-Midwest Region and IWLCA Senior All-Star honors.
Her 80 points and 64 goals as a senior rank second on the CU single-season chart. Nationally she was 17th in goals and goals per game (3.37), 31st in points and 42nd in points per game (4.21), ninth in shots per game (8.26) and shots on goal per game (6.05) and was 20th in free-position goals per game (1.05) in 2019. She led the Pac-12 in goals, goals per game, free-position goals per game, points, points per game, shots per game and shots on goal per game.
As a junior in 2019, Stinson was named an Inside Lacrosse preseason and midseason All-American. She was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and the IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region First Team.

Why did you choose Wagner?
"I chose Wagner because it is an awesome opportunity to continue my education and share my passion for lacrosse."
How did you start playing lacrosse?
"I found lacrosse by following in my older sister's footsteps."
What is your favorite part about playing lacrosse?
"Being part of a team and competing together."
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
"Beating Northwestern in overtime during our home-opener as a sophomore."
What is the best piece of advice you could give the player you were five years ago?
"Work smarter, not harder."

"This team and the athletic department at Wagner are like a family."
What is your favorite place in New York City so far?
"Chinatown."
What is your favorite drill in practice?
"My favorite drill is 3v2 continuous."
What do you look for in a player when you watch them play?
"Hard work and athleticism."

"I like to rock climb, snowboard, and fly fish."
