The Wagner field hockey team defeated Merrimack, 10-2 to conclude Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season play on Thursday afternoon.

Five different goal scorers found the back of the net in the first quarter, sophomore Natalie Rocuskie opened the scoring, followed by seniors Agustina Deharbe and Julia Cruces Pastorino, and freshmen Shea Crowther and Liselotte Koop. For Crowther, it was her first goal as a member of the Seahawks.

The Seahawks were held scoreless in the second but generated two shots on goal in the quarter. The Warriors matched the Seahawks shot total in the quarter as senior netminder Daisy Ruhle stopped two out of three shots she faced as Anne-Sophie Hogenboom opened the scoring for the visitors.

After the opening 15 minutes, the Green & White outshot Merrimack 8-2 and forced two penalty corners to the Merrimack one.
Wagner tallied one goal on their lone shot of the third quarter when Natalie Rocuskie netted her second of the afternoon and her third in two games to extend the Wagner lead to 6-1 after three. Midway through the third stanza, freshman Sarah Trask made her Wagner debut in between the pipes and relieved Daisy Ruhle.

To open the final stanza, sophomore Erin Franklin relieved Trask for the final 15 minutes, Franklin tallied two saves on three shots faced.
The Seahawks continued to find the back of the net in the final stanza, scoring four times.
