Flushing, NY – The Wagner men's tennis team was blanked on Monday evening, 5-0, by Big East members, St. John's, at the USTA National Tennis Center.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 5-5 on the season while the Red Storm move to 11-5 on the year. Monday's contest marked just the third all-time meeting since 2005 between the two New York-based institutions as Wagner falls to 0-3 against St. John's.

Ilya Kneppelhout, 6-1, at No. 3.
In the singles portion of the match, Wagner kept pace with its inter-borough rivals. The Red Storm went up 2-0 after Luka Sucevic defeated
Dale Sandy, 6-3; 6-2, at No. 3. Ohrner battled to the end with Trejgut at No. 2 before Trejgut secured a 6-4; 7-6 triumph at No. 2.
Udayan Bhakar outlasted Gonzalez, 6-2; 6-4 at No. 1 and Igor Maslov clinched the match for SJU with a 6-4; 7-6 winner over Poland.
Kneppelhout's match at No. 5 against Charlie James went unfinished with the set tied at 1-1 after the senior Seahawk took the first set, 6-2, before falling in the second, 6-3. James held a 3-2 advantage before the match was called.

Siddharth Anand had a 4-1 lead in the first set of his match at No. 6 against Roskowski before the match was deemed unfinished.
The Seahawks will play their first match at the Wagner Tennis Courts, beginning on Wednesday, April 3, as the Green & White welcomes Hofstra in the home opener at 3:00 p.m.
