  • Series History: Wagner now leads the all-time series, 8-6.

How It Happened:
First Quarter
  • Stony Brook jumped out to an early 6-2 advantage before the Seahawks responded with a 6-2 run of their own, capped by a three-pointer from Edwards that knotted the game at 8-8.
  • The visitors strung together an 11-0 run over two minutes that increased the lead to 19-8 after Pagan hit on the mid-range jumper.
  • Krista Grava's jumper at the 2:12 mark put an end to the run but Stony Brook concluded the first quarter with baskets from Pagan and Anastasia Warren, seizing a 23-10 lead after one period of play.

Second Quarter
  • The Seahawks opened the second quarter with seven straight points over the first minute and a half, chipping the Stony Brook lead to six, 23-17, after Cowan was able to convert on a jumper.
  • With 4:03 left before halftime, Cox made one-of-two from the line and Warren added a three at the 3:20 mark that pushed the lead back to ten, 27-17.
  • Wagner closed out the stanza scoring six of the final eight points but the visitors held on to a 29-23 halftime lead, despite shooting just 1-of-14 from the field and 1-of-7 from long range during the quarter.

Third Quarter
  • The visitors opened the second half on an 8-0 run that elevated the lead back to double digits, 37-23 after Hilaire converted from the outside.
  • Cowan was able to make a pair of free throws while Morgan Lenahan added a tough layup in the paint, trimming Stony Brook's lead to 37-27 at the 6:11 mark.
  • A 7-2 spurt from Stony Brook pushed the lead back to 44-29 after Cox was able to hit off the feed from Hilaire.
  • Both teams exchanged baskets over the final two minutes as Stony Brook took a 50-35 advantage heading into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter
  • A three-pointer from Edwards answered a three from Cox to open the quarter.
  • From that point, Stony Brook built a 65-42 lead in large part to a 12-4 run over a four and a half minute stretch, in which the Seahawks were limited to just two buckets.
  • Edwards hit her fourth three-pointer of the game at the 2:50 mark.
  • The Seawolves tacked on a point from the free-throw in leaving Staten Island with their ninth victory of the season.

Postgame Conference:

Inside The Numbers
  • This afternoon's game marked the first home loss of the season for the Seahawks, who had previously gone 4-0 in their first four home tilts.
  • The 45 points scored by Wagner marks just the second time this season the Green & White have failed to score 50 or more points (Youngstown State | November 23 [64-42).
  • Wagner is now 1-4 in its last five games against Stony Brook.
  • The Seahawks fell to 17-31 all-time against all current members of the America East Conference.
  • This is the fifth time this season that Edwards has scored in double-figures and 21st in her career.
  • Additionally, this is the second time this season Edwards has led Wagner in scoring, the first coming against NJIT, in which she hit the game-winner.
  • For Krista Grava, her 11 points give her 15 career games in double figures.
