Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College football team took a 10-0 lead into the halftime locker room, but it wasn't enough, as Bryant earned a 14-10 comeback victory at Hameline Field on Saturday. Prior to the contest, the Seahawks honored their seniors in a pregame ceremony.

Wagner jumped out in front early as graduate student quarterback Christian Alexander-Stevens found his favorite target in junior Joshua DeCambre over the middle for a 19-yard strike to take a 7-0 lead with 4:47 left in the first quarter.

DeCambre finished the day with five catches for 74 yards, both of which led the team, and concluded his 2019 campaign with a team-high six touchdown catches.

The Seahawks extended their lead in the second quarter, as junior Eric Silvester connected on a career-high 49-yard field goal to make it 10-0 in favor of the Seahawks.

The Bulldogs responded with a touchdown drive coming out of halftime to cut the deficit to 10-7.

Those were the only points the Seahawk defense gave up on the day, as senior Chris Williams forced a fumble that was recovered by senior Edward Nunez with 6:06 to play in the third quarter.

Bryant took the lead on a Richard Ukele interception return for a touchdown with 11:44 to play in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the game-winning score.

Sophomore Titus Leo paced Wagner with 11 tackles on the day, while Williams recorded a sack, forced fumble, and nine tackles in his final game as a Seahawk.

Alexander-Stevens finished the day with 179 yards through the air and one touchdown, while the versatile junior Ahmad Lyons rushed for a team-high 48 yards while also recording seven tackles on defense.

With the loss, Wagner concludes its 2019 campaign with a 1-11 record, while the Bulldogs finish with a 4-8 mark on the year.
