New York, NY - The New York Open College Wild Card Invitational will be held November 16 -18 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Indoor Courts.
 
The winner of this event will receive a main draw singles wild card to play in the New York Open.
 
Sixteen schools have been invited to send their top players to compete over the three-day invitational. The participating schools who are playing the New York Open College Wild Card Invitational include: Adelphi, Army, Binghamton, Columbia, Concordia, Cornell, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hofstra, NYIT, Princeton, Queen's College, St. Francis  Brooklyn, St. John's, and Wagner College.
 
Graduate transfer, Lucas Gonzalez, was selected to represent the program in this three-day invitational.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, it will be College Night at the New York Open and the winner of the College Wild Card Invitational will play its first-round match that evening against one of the top professionals in the world.
 
All college students get in for $10 that night by showing their college ID at the ticket office.
