Philadelphia, PA - The Wagner men's tennis team claimed two of the three doubles matches but fell to Atlantic 10 member, Temple University on Friday evening by the score of 6-1.

With the loss, the Seahawks stand at 6-4 on the year while the Owls even their record to 6-6.

The pairing of sophomores Anatoliy Lashkul (Kiev, Ukraine/High School #78) and Dale Sandy (Durban, South Africa / Kersney College Secondary School) earned a gritty, 7-6 (7-5) victory at No. 1 doubles over Artem Kapshuk and Vineet Naran.  The Seahawks clinched the doubles point at No. 3 when junior Charlton Boyd (Shreveport, LA/Loyola College Prep) and sophomore Ilya Kneppelhout (Woubrugge, Netherlands / Scala College Secondary School) bested Florian Mayer and Thomas Sevel, 6-3.

Temple swept all of the singles flights. Lashkul did force a third-set before ultimately falling to Uladzimir Dorash, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (5) in Flight No. 1. Freshman Hans Ohrner (Margate, FL/Coral Spring Christian Academy) also went three sets in his match. The first-year Seahawk took the first set, 5-7, but was ousted by Francisco Bohorquez, 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.

The Seahawks return to action on February 26 as they conclude their tour of the City of Brotherly Love, as they travel to Drexel University.
