Kimmy Tumolo (Mullica Hill, NJ / Clearview Regional) scored a career-high four goals while fellow senior attacker
Taylor Pastore (Baldwinsville, NY / C.W. Baker) and junior attacker
Olivia Streilein (Mt. Laurel,, NJ/ Lenape) each added hat tricks to lead the Wagner women's lacrosse team to a rousing 20-6 win over Mount St. Mary's on Senior Day.
In winning their third consecutive game, and fourth in the last five, the Seahawks remain in a first-place tie in the Northeast Conference (NEC) standings with a 4-1 league mark while improving to 6-8 overall. With the loss, the Mount falls to 2-3 in the NEC and 4-11 overall.
With the scored tied at 2-2, Wagner broke the game open by scoring six unanswered goals in jumping out to an 8-2 lead. The Mount tallied the final goal of the half to make it 8-3 at the intermission and drew to within four goals, at 8-4, early in the second half before the Seahawks put the game away with a 5-0 run to extend their lead to 13-4 en route to the 20-6 win.
Tumolo added an assist to finish with a career-high five points while Pastore also added an assist to finish with four points (3g, 1a). Senior midfielders

Shea Gegan (Belmar, NJ / Manasquan), senior attacker
Stephanie Peterson (Vernon, NJ/ Vernon Township) and sophomore midfielder
Lauren Ednie (Verona, NJ / Verona) added two goals apiece for the Seahawks. Gegan added a game-high four assists to finish with a game-high six points.
Finishing with two points, on one goal and one assist apiece, were senior attacker
Tori McGrath (Delmar, NY / Bethlehem Central) and junior attacker
Nicole Luzzi (Branford, CT / Branford). Gegan paced the Green & White in groundballs with eight, and caused turnovers with five, while junior defender
Amanda Rey (Turnerville, NJ / Washington Township) was the team-leader in draw controls with four.

Katie Ferraro (Ownings Mill, MD / McDonogh) allowed just five goals while saving two shots in 46:35 of action before giving way to sophomore
Lucy Darlington (Timonium, MD / Notre Dame Prep) who came on to play the final 13:25, allowing one goal and recording one save.
Kelly Maloney and Molly Morris paced the Mount by scoring three and two goals, respectively. In goal, Steph Rurkowski had a busy day and was credited with seven saves while going the distance between the pipes.
Wagner held an overwhelming statistical edge on the afternoon as the Seahawks led in shots (33-18), groundballs (22-16) and draw controls (18-8) and were 2-of-6 on free-position shots while the Mountaineers were 1-of-2 in this department. The aggressive Seahawk defense forced 14 Mount turnovers while Wagner turned it over just 10 times.
The Green & White close out the regular season with the two-game Western Pennsylvania swing, facing Robert Morris on Friday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m., before going on to face Saint Francis U on Sunday. May 1 in a Noon start.
The top four finishers in the NEC qualify for the NEC Tournament. In each of the last two years, Wagner earned a spot in the NEC Tourney, losing at Bryant in the championship game both times.
Prior to the game, the 10 Seahawk seniors were honored at midfield in a brief ceremony. In a separate brief ceremony during the game's first time out, Gegan was presented with a ceremonial game ball by head coach
Katie Rowan on recently becoming the NCAA Division I women's lacrosse all-time career leader in caused turnovers.
The 2015 NEC Midfielder of the Year, and reigning and the conference's reigning Player of the Week, Gegan entered the Mount game with 208 caused turnovers in her career. The previous record of 204 was set 12 years ago and held by Michi Ellers of Georgetown, whose career spanned from 2001-04. After forcing five caused turnovers today, Gegan is now up to 213 for her career.
