Staten Island, NY - The Wagner Seahawks improved to a perfect 5-0 on the season with a 6-1 victory over Saint Peter's at the Wagner Tennis Courts. The five wins supersede the Seahawks' combined total of four over the previous six seasons.

The Green & White got things rolling in doubles as freshman Charlton Boyd (Shreveport, LA / Loyola College Prep) and sophomore Sam Flaxman (Avon, CT / Avon) combined for a 6-0 win at No. 3 before freshman Michal Rolski (Kielczow, Poland / Oak Meadow (VT)) and Lee-Shawn Stein (Edmond, OK / Epic Charter School) also won via shutout at No. 2 to clinch the first point of the match.

Freshman Allen Wang (Clovis, CA / Buchanan) then got singles play started with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 before Boyd worked a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3. Rolski then clinched the match with a 6-1, 7-6 (5) win at No. 2 before Saint Peter's got on the board with a victory at first singles. Delboi was then victorious at No. 5 in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. Stein closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 6.

Wagner returns to action this weekend at the Quinnipiac Invitational with play starting on Friday, October 3.
