Results | Highlights

Staten Island, NY -
The Wagner men's tennis team improved to a perfect 3-0 on the season with a well-executed 5-2 win over Northeast Conference (NEC) rival St. Francis Brooklyn in its first match of the day at the Wagner Tennis Courts.

The Seahawks three-match winning streak is their longest in over a decade while the three wins are the most 2006-2007 season.

Wagner got things rolling in doubles action, taking all three match-ups to claim the first point. Freshmen Michal Rolski (Kielczow, Poland / Oak Meadow (VT)) and Lee-Shawn Stein (Edmond, OK / Epic Charter School) started out with an easy 6-0 win at No. 3 before freshmen Ryan Khan (Weston, FL / University School) and Allen Wang (Clovis, CA / Buchanan) combined for a 6-2 victory at No. 1.

Freshman Charlton Boyd (Shreveport, LA / Loyola College Prep) then extended the Green & White advantage out 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles before Khan notched a hard-fought 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1. St. Francis Brooklyn then rallied with a win at No. 2 before Delboi put the match on ice with an easy 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 5. The Terriers then claimed their second match of the day before sophomore Sam Flaxman (Avon, CT / Avon) put the exclamation point on the Wagner win with a dominating 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6.
