Emmitsburg, MD - Mount St. Mary's posted a 6-1 victory over Wagner in Northeast Conference (NEC) action at the MSM Tennis Courts.

With the win, the Mountaineers improve to 7-7 and 1-2 in the NEC while the Seahawks fall to 1-6 and 0-2 in the league.

During doubles action, sophomore Christian Grau (Dallas, TX / Spring Creek Academy) and freshman Sam Flaxman (Avon, CT / Avon) defeated Peter Salomon and Louis Tonon by an 8-6 count at No. 1 while improving to a perfect 4-0 when playing as a tandem this season. Unfortunately, the Mount was victorious at No. 2 and No. 3 in capturing the doubles point.

Grau was the lone winner for the Green & White during singles play, posting an impressive 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 1 and is now 3-1 on the season.

Wagner returns to action tomorrow with a 10:00 am match at Coppin State.
