BOX SCORE
Honolulu, HI – A three-goal second half helped propel the Rainbow Wahine of Hawaii shut down Wagner 4-0 in the final game of the OHANA Hotels and Resort Soccer Shootout, Sunday night in Honolulu, HI.
From the opening kickoff, the home team guarded their end allowing only one Wagner shot on goal in the first 45 minutes of play. On the offense, Hawaii pressured the young Seahawk backline, producing 13 shots, including the one that found the back of the net off Saaeko Nagano in the 17th minute. Nagano's shot deflected off a Wagner defender and past freshman goalkeeper

The second half saw more of the same from Hawaii, as they berated the Green and White, giving up just one shot, and firing 10 toward the young Seahawk keeper.
Hawaii opened up its scoring in the 50th minute, after a through ball from Chelsea Deptula split the Wagner defense and found an oncoming Mari Punzai, who slotted the shot into the lower left corner, giving the home squad a 2-0 lead.
The Rainbow Wahine tacked on another goal 14 minutes later, when a bouncing ball in the penalty box came to Skye Shimabukuro who volleyed her shot past Marcy, extending Hawaii's lead to 3-0.
Hawaii's final goal came with one second left to play when Bree Locquiao ran onto a through ball and fired a shot past a diving Marcy to cap the game at 4-0.
The Seahakws head back East with a 1-1 record after defeating Pacific, before the loss to Hawaii. Sophomores
Jessica Panarella (Staten Island, NY / McKee Tech)
and
Julie Vigliotti (Staten Island, NY / Notre Dame Academy)
were named to the OHANA Hotels and Resort Soccer Shootout All-Tournament Team for their play in the two-game round-robin tournament. Panarella recorded Wagners only goal in the two games, that gave her squad the win over Pacific. Vigliotti earned an assist on the tally.
