Sophomore Lauren French Scored A Game High Four Goals
Thousand Oaks, CA – The Wagner Water Polo team closed out their run at the Cal. Lutheran Spring Classic with a 15-12 win over Whittier College. The Seahawks finish 3-1 in the weekend tournament and improve to 7-8 on the season.

Things started slow for the Seahawks, coming out of the first quarter with a one-goal edge at 3-2. Then things opened up with the Seahawks scoring seven goals to the Poets' one to earn a 10-3 lead going into the third quarter.

In the second half, Whittier out battled Wagner with five goals to the Seahawks four to bring the score to 14-8 going into the final stanza of play. The Poets kept at it in the fourth, scoring four times to the Seahawks one, though the Wagner defense was able to stave off Whittier long enough to earn the 15-12 win.

Leading the charge for the Seahawks was sophomore Lauren French (Colmar, PA/North Penn) as she tied a career high with four goals. Sophomore Chelsea Beck (Reading, PA/Wilson) also matched a career best with three goals while Molly Robinson (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) and Lauren Lovallo (Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) chipped in two goals each.
