New Haven, CT- The Wagner women's soccer team dropped its second game of the season this afternoon, faltering to the Bulldogs of Yale University by a score of 2-0 at Reese Stadium.
The Seahawks struggled to get the ball into Bulldog territory for much of the first half, which resulted in Yale creating 15 shot opportunities in the opening 45 minutes. The Bulldogs would go on to tally 27 shots for the game to Wagner's one.
The Seahawks would come up with its only scoring opportunity late in the second half when junior midfielder
Catherine Del Medico (Park Ridge, IL / Maine South) managed a shot from about 18 yards out on the left side.
Yale's two goals came within three minutes of each other in the 29th and 33rd minutes of the first half. Scoring both goals for the Bulldogs was junior forward Becky Brown (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrenceville School).

Sam Schueschner (Brookfield, CT / Brookfield) would finish with nine saves for the Seahawks. Yale's Adelaide Gay (Skillman, NJ/Lawrenceville School) made one save to record the shutout in the season opener for the Bulldogs.
The Green & White (0-2) will look to bounce back this Sunday when they host the Delaware State University Hornets. Start time is set for 1:00PM.
