Staten Island, NY- The Wagner College women's soccer team finished in a scoreless tie with the Leopards of Lafayette College (2-6-1) on a soggy, rain-filled afternoon at Wagner College Stadium. Two overtime periods were unable to separate the teams, as the Seahawks move to 1-7-1 (0-1 NEC) on the season. 

Wagner held an overall advantage in shots, 15-8, and put nine shots on goal against Lafayette's four. Unfortunately, both teams came away empty-handed through the 110 minute contest. 

Lafayette got four shots off in overtime while the Seahawks had one by sophomore Kaitlyn Llewellyn (Island Lake, IL/ Wauconda). 

Junior goalkeeper Sam Schueschner (Brookfield, CT/ Brookfield) finished with four saves, picking up her second shutout of the season while her Lafayette counterpart Lauren Smedley had nine saves. 

The Seahawks return to action on Friday, October 2nd when they travel to West Long Branch, NJ to face Monmouth University in an NEC contest. Game time is slated for 4:00 PM.
