Policicchio drew Wagner to within two goals at 6-4 off an assist by sophomore midfielder Sean Travis (Calverton, NY/ Riverhead) with 13:10 remaining in the third quarter. But this is as close as the Seahawks would get as the Keydets went on a seven-goal run to seize a comfortable 13-4 lead. Policicchio tallied a pair of goals in the final 3:34 of the game to fashion the final score at 13-6.

VMI out-shot Wagner 36-21 and held a 25-20 edge in the ground ball department while winning 14-18 face-offs. Tim Moran paced the Keydets with a game-high six goals.
